Fresh, imaginative, and unmistakably of their generation, The Dolphins Quartet is a New York City-based string quartet and composer collective formed at The Juilliard School. Dedicated to making chamber music vibrant, personal, and reflective of our time, the ensemble brings together classical masterworks, underappreciated repertoire, improvisation, and original compositions.

The quartet has quickly emerged as one of the most engaging young ensembles in the field. In 2024, The Dolphins were named finalists in the Concert Artists Guild competition, and in 2025 they received the Salon de Virtuosi Career Advancement Grant. They have performed, taught, and collaborated across the United States, with festival appearances including Music from Angel Fire, the St. Lawrence Seminar, Kneisel Hall, and the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival.

Their work reflects a rare combination of technical polish, curiosity, and heart. At Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, they presented Juilliard premieres of quartets by Mieczysław Weinberg and Heitor Villa-Lobos, and they have worked closely with living composers including John Corigliano, Andy Akiho, and Jessie Montgomery. They also made their orchestral solo debut performing John Adams’ Absolute Jest at David Geffen Hall, conducted by the composer.
